I have so much respect for comic artists like you. It’s an art form that I deeply appreciate, and seeing the behind the scenes Frankie only reinforces that. There’s so much that goes into making a comic!
I know I’m not exactly the type of person who directly can learn from this (I don’t want to make a comic), it’s still so, so cool to see
I was honestly skimming this, and therefore didn’t realize at first what your image of thumbnails was. It actually looked to me a bit like a view of tables scattered around a big cafeteria, with conversations happening at each, as seen through a barred window. I think it’s one of those things like a celtic knot, where you just need to make sure the three strands line up on either side and everything just fits, or at least the viewer’s eyes are willing to say it does.
