When I decided to start making The Fantasy Book Club in 2020, it was the first time in years I made a decision to pursue something I wanted to do without deferring to the other people in my life who I seemed to think should have more say over my choices that me. I didn't realize what a catalyst it would be. 

I made this Draw My Life comic 3 months before my divorce was finalized in 2024. We had been together for nearly 15 years after my parents forced us to get married when I was 19 years old and I had been burying all my dreams and goals every since. The Fantasy Book Club saved my life.
