Fiona grew up in the area and has a bit of a reputation from her childhood… and general demeanor. She lives with her mom while attending Crossroads University as a Library Science major. She also works there part-time as an Assistant Librarian.

Tristan is also a local and the son of a well respected emergency surgeon. Following in his father’s footsteps he is attending Crossroads University for their pre-med program. His parents are separated and his mother would like him to join her in India when he is done with school.

Eremis is at Crossroads University on a scholarship she earned after aging out of the foster care system. She was 8 years old when her parents, Ardemis and Kaname Veil, died.

Jayla comes from a family of British book collectors who have an academic relationship with Crossroads University. The library she works in is named after her grandfather. She married an American she met there when she was young and took a job as the Library Science Professor and Special Collections Curator.

Fiona’s Mom is an accountant. Her married name was Sandra Creary but she and Fiona both changed it back to her maiden name, Standish, after the long and complicated legal battle with her ex-husband was finally over. She always wanted to move them somewhere no one would know their history, but financially it just wasn’t possible. Changing their name was the best she could do.
