Slightly off-topic, I think the property pal might be Tiamat. She’s Metordains enemy, obviously, and in Mesopotamian myth, she was a creation goddess and goddess of the sea, if I remember correctly. Maybe it’s a strech, but Eremis’s magic effects remind me of water
Another possibility is that it’s the ghost of either her mother or a more distant ancestor
